Bone Grafting
A commonly performed procedure that increases the volume and density of bone in your jaw. We place the graft material in areas where the bone needs to be repaired or replaced. This procedure is often necessary after an extraction, for areas where implants may be placed, or as part of treatment for periodontal disease. The doctors at Oris perform these routinely with outstanding outcomes.
Gum Contouring
This in-office surgical therapy (also known as gingival sculpting) reshapes the gum line for either cosmetic purposes or as part of periodontal therapy. It can involve removing or adding gum tissue to revise the gum line. At Oris, lasers are used for optimal precision and to minimize bleeding and post-operative discomfort.
Scaling and Root Planing
These are non-surgical deep-cleaning treatments for gum disease (periodontitis). They remove tartar, plaque and bacteria by smoothing the root and tooth surfaces to remove toxins and reduce inflammation so gum tissue has the opportunity to reattach to the teeth. This therapy is often done in conjunction with the application of antibiotics.
